Kate Roos Design offers design services for the entire home with a specialty in kitchen and bath design, space planning, cabinetry design and material selection. Whether you want a full set of design plans or an hourly consultation, we can help.
CONNECT
We begin the process with a complimentary 30-minute phone call to review your project(s), during which we discuss the details of your plan, what you are looking for and what design services are right for you.
After a design deposit is made, we will create a schedule for your design, invite you to complete a the design survey, which will help us understand what you are looking for in your new space.
Our initial home visit begins with accurate measurements of all spaces impacted by the design. This visit can take up to 2 hours in order to get a full sense of what you are looking for. We want to have a complete understanding of the project and how we can provide you the best possible results.
CREATE
In the Concept Design Phase we will explore your space with fresh eyes to come up with 2-3 floor plan and layout options to review with you. We pull together 2 preliminary moodboards to help to visualize to look of the space.
During the Detailed Design Phase we begin to develop the cabinetry design for both form and function. We work to find a balance between the two, solving any difficult design challenges along the way. We will present you with cabinetry elevations as well as 3D renderings to help bring your space to life.
During the Design Finalization Phase we will complete the full set of plans, with your input. The final set will include some or all of the following; Before and after floor plans, elevations or necessary walls, an electrical plan, construction drawings, and a comprehensive materials list.
CONSTRUCT
Once plans are finalized, we begin the construction phase. We partner with highly trusted, highly skilled contractors with whom we have firsthand experience of their quality craftsmanship and stellar communication.
We will facilitate the contractor walk through to get accurate pricing for our proposal presentation.
During the construction process, we oversee the design details, answer contractor questions, review shop drawings, and problem-solve to support you through the completion of your project.
