This elegant kitchen required thoughtful attention to detail. The entire kitchen was relocated and transformed to maximize the river views and update this 2004 house. The clients wanted a large, timeless kitchen with two islands that would accommodate the lifestyle of their growing family.
Relocating the kitchen to the former hearth room allows for natural light and extraordinary river views. Creating a pantry cabinet with tuck-away doors, a pull-out drawer for the toaster and coffee pot, as well as a dedicated microwave shelf allow these items to be hidden. The larger scale of the hood over the range top, flanked by glass cabinetry and sconces, create a commanding focal point.
Painting the cabinetry in classic white with gray painted islands, marble and quartz countertops, and marble subway tile backslash creates a current and timeless appeal. Glass display cabinetry with polished nickel sconces on each side add an unexpected design element. The unique design details and fresh colors in this elegant kitchen create the timeless look the clients desired.
